Enjoy the Space Around Stargazers Forest Hideaway
Stargazers Forest Hideaway is designed to give guests room to relax, explore and reconnect with nature. Throughout the property you’ll find peaceful spaces to unwind, enjoy a picnic, or simply slow down and take in the beauty of the Southern Forests.
Guests are welcome to make use of the shared guest laundry, as well as our covered dining huts, perfect for enjoying a relaxed lunch, playing board games, or gathering together with family and friends in a sheltered outdoor setting.
As you explore the grounds, you’ll pass our working avocado orchard, which stretches across the left-hand side of the property as you enter. A short walk beyond the cottages leads down to the Donnelly River, where you can enjoy the quiet forest surroundings and fresh country air.
Families especially love the children’s climbing frames near the cottages, along with the wide grassed open areas ideal for lawn games, picnics and outdoor play. In the evenings, guests often gather around the large communal fire pit with log seating — a favourite spot for sharing stories under the stars. Wildlife is part of the Stargazers experience too. It’s common to see kangaroos grazing in the mornings and early evenings, while kookaburras and wagtails are regular visitors throughout the day, adding to the peaceful forest atmosphere.
